The purpose of the TDRPD Scholarship Program is to ensure all District residents may have access to District programs and services. To help make recreation accessible to all, a limited number of scholarships are available for those who qualify.

Application

An application is required of each applicant to start the process. It can be downloaded here Scholarship Program Application ENG (PDF) or mailed to you at your request. Applications may be submitted via email, info@tdrpd.org, mail: Scholarship Program 10981 Truckee Way, Truckee CA 96161. Application is evaluated on parents’/guardians’ household income for all dependents or the individual applicant. Applications are valid for 6 months. Patrons will need to reapply after 6 months.

When submitting the application, the applicant must also provide proof that they are a resident of TDRPD, and the applicant must present one of the following forms of household income verification:

a. Prior year’s 1040 or 1040 EZ tax return clearly showing Adjusted Gross Income

b. WIC or CalFresh (food stamps) card from Nevada County

c. PUD Utility Assistance Program

d. Social Security Declaration Form

Pay stubs, unemployment check stubs, W-2 wage statements and/or 1099 self-employment checks are not acceptable for income verification.
