Our plan for opening the pool in accordance to Nevada County Tiers: 

Red Tier: Pool will open for drowning prevention lessons and Lifeguard Training Classes.

Orange Tier: The pool will open for public swimming with precautions in effect.

COVID Precautions

Patrons will experience the pool differently while COVID-19 precautions are in place.  Please read the following guidelines that we will have in place before you attend the pool. 

  • If you or the member of your household has been Ill or experienced symptoms, please stay home. 

  • If the risk of exposure makes you UNCOMFORTABLE, please stay home. 

For those able to attend:

  • Masks are required when out of the water

  • Public lap swimming is limited to one person per lane.  

  • The recreation pool is limited to about 20 people at a time

  • Swimmer reservations is limited to 75 minute time blocks, meant to include about 60 minutes of water time plus 15 minutes of undressing/dressing.  

  • Guests are screened upon entry for symptoms of illness.  

  • Cleaning and disinfecting is continuous throughout the day.

  • Locker Rooms are open in a limited use, basically for a changing area to get out of wet clothing. No Showers.

  • We encourage you to arrive Water Ready.

  • Children under 14 will need to take a swim test to swim independently. Swim tests are administered by pool staff.

  • Family Changing rooms available

  • Entry and Exit are modified for spacing


In the end, the measures are meant to minimize the risk of exposure to the public and staff that are healthy and comfortable enough to swim.

FAQ for Reservations:

  • Why is my username not working?

    • Try doing it in all capital letters. If it still does not work, please email us at and we’ll provide you with the correct username.
  • Why am I being told I’m not a resident? I’ve lived here and used your facilities for years?

    • Thanks so much for your patronage and loyalty! Our system was updated in 2018, and many accounts are still missing proof of residency. Please email us at a photo of your ID showing your Truckee address, or your property tax bill, or a recent utility bill and we’ll quickly update your status!
  • I cannot remember what I enrolled for, how can I access my schedule?

    • Please log back into your account, in the upper right hand corner, click “My account”
    • Under “Family members schedule” please select yourself, and then add “Flex Reg” into program options, then click search. You’ll be able to get a detailed report of all paid for time slots, and you can even export the calendar for your convenience.
